Former AIMers in Malawi, Ted and Pat Grosbach received their missionary appointment to the Democratic Republic of Congo [Zaire] and Zambia in May 1984. Unable to secure resident permits for Congo, the Grosbachs lived and ministered in Zambia. He flew his plane into remote areas to conduct leadership training and also taught in the Bible school.

For several years the authorities refused Brother Grosbach's request to visit the saints in the DRC. Consequently, he flew to the border to meet the Congolese pastors for worship, fellowship, and instruction. He was finally able to visit Congo again in September 1996.
After nearly 17 years the Grosbachs were able to obtain church registration and a resident visa for the Democratic Republic of Congo. In August of 2002 they moved to Lubumbashi, the second largest city in the country with a population of over two million. Presently there are 60 churches throughout the country with a strong National Board in operation. A training facility has just recently been rented in Lubumbashi and provincial training centers are coming in the near future. These training centers will provide instruction in Pastoral ministry, Bible College studies, Ladies' Ministries, English Language training, Swahili literacy, and future health training. REVIVAL HAS ARRIVED FOR OVER 50 MILLION PEOPLE WHO RESIDE IN THE DRC!!
They have one son, Blue Dean, who lives in New Port Richie, Florida and one granddaughter, Kara Ann who is ten years old.
Brother Grosbach has written, "Acts 29", a book on leadership using the principles applied to the revival over the years. Also, he has written a book, "Church Planting" which is used in Africa and is a recommended Bible School reference book. Sister Grosbach will release a book this year entitled, From Alaska To Zaire. It is currently with the publisher and will be available at General Conference 2005. |
